NSA Certification Requirements
IAM
Students may be eligible to receive National Security Agency (NSA) Certificate of Completion. Attendees who
meet the following requirements will need to submit documents proving eligibility. Security Horizon will coordinate the submission of
the paperwork with NSA, in advance of the class. Submission of paperwork no later than 15 days prior
to the class is highly recommended to ensure all paperwork is approved and the certification exam is issued by the National
Security Agency.
Work experience resume to show:
- Contact information
- U. S. citizenship
- Five years of demonstrated experience in the field of INFOSEC, COMSEC or computer security, with 2 of the 5 years of experience directly involved in analyzing computer system/network vulnerabilities and security risks
To qualify for an IAM certificate of completion, students must:
- Attend all of the two-day class
- Demonstrate an understanding of the IAM through group exercises and class discussions
- Obtain a passing grade (at least 70 percent) on the IAM test

IEM
Students may be eligible to receive National Security Agency (NSA) Certificate of Completion. Attendees who feel they meet the following requirements will need to submit registration forms proving eligibility. Security Horizon will coordinate the work experience and paperwork with NSA, in advance of the class. Submission of paperwork no later than 15 days prior to the class is highly recommended to ensure all paperwork is approved and the certification exam is issued by the National Security Agency.

- IAM Certification and 6 months experience with specific technical evaluation tools risks
To qualify for an IEM certificate of completion, students must:
- Attend all of the two-day class
- Demonstrate an understanding of the IEM through group exercises and class discussions
- Obtain a passing grade (at least 70 percent) on the IEM test
